Hey everyone, I’m excited to connect with you here at The Houde School for the 2025 installment of The Summit.
Below are many links to what we’re going to be talking about today. They’re all downloadable for your reference after The Summit.
NOTE: Please don’t skip ahead and instead wait until we get to that particular section so a)you don’t get lost, and b)you can actively listen and pay attention.
Important documents:
The paperwork ALL actors must know - The 4 main takeaways from today.
The SAG franchise agency contract - This is the standard contract for actors signing with SAG franchised agencies. (This is the legal document that all agencies must abide by as a SAG franchised agency. It’s over 80 pages, a lot of boring but important information, and only nerds should look at this, HERE).
The “copy/credit” non-union employment contract for unrepresented actors - If you’re advocating for yourself on a booking, this is what you need.
The standard SAG-AFTRA theatrical day performer (1 day) employment contract - When you get hired for one day on a project, your contract is going to look like this. It may have amendments to it specific to a particular production, but this is the standard you’ll see for sure.
The SAG-AFTRA Exhibit G - The “time sheet” actors sign every day on set.
SAG-AFTRA claims - When you need to file a claim, the form could look like this. Depending on the type of claim, start on the union website HERE.
