The Approach™ Mastermind Group

What is it all about?

What: The Approach™ Mastermind Group (MG) is a year long, small group, diversified training program for professional actors as well as actors looking to become professional actors. This is NOT for beginners, newbies, or inexperienced actors and is ideally for those artists who have been working diligently for at least two to three years.

Who: You're right for the Mastermind Group if you've already got some training, are represented, are auditioning and perhaps even booking, but you're ready to elevate your career to the next level and go all-in. You want hands-on one-on-one feedback for your materials. You want small group classes with dynamic assignments. You want a safe space for group chats about industry topics and homework activities. You want to be challenged in your mindset surrounding your career to help you move to the next step on the ladder. You want to emerge from this experience a changed person.

When: This requires a year long commitment, beginning in January of each calendar year and running for the entire year. You will still have ample time for other areas of your acting life, work life, and personal life. The first 30-45 days will require a LOT of personal development work and jump start your year in a way you haven’t experienced before.

Where: The Approach™ MG training is fully virtual. Some sessions will include self-guided instruction, some will include homework on your own time to be brought back into group sessions, but the majority will take place via Zoom in small group and one-on-one settings live with others.

Why: A lot of studios and teachers provide amazing offerings, but few include a comprehensive system for professional actors who are beyond the need for beginning level instruction, guidance, and motivation. They may focus heavily on one area, like classes, and neglect other areas, like materials, and/or mind set. The Approach™ MG strives to achieve a well-rounded approach for the professional actor.

Fun fact: This concept was originally coined Basecamp To Summit because being a professional actor really is a lot like trying to summit a mountain, requiring a series of small steps, yielding almost imperceptible progress, but we must trust we’re moving closer to our goals.
